I just got my latest Ipsy bag yesterday and used all the items this morning so I could write a review of how I liked the item in this month’s bag. Overall, I like and will use everything in the bag. Well, on to my first impression and review.
I really liked this liner! It went on really smooth and it transferred to the liner brush easily as well. I hate the gel liners that I feel that I have to dig the product out to get any color on the brush. Anyway, this gel liner reminded me of Clinique’s gel liner, which was my favorite brand when I was using gel liners. I would be interested in buying more colors but right now I’m obessed with liquid liner pens. According to MicaBeauty’s website there are five other colors.
This is a nice quad and luckily I got a quad with colors I usually wear. Another quad in the bags that I saw was a grey smoky quad. The colors swatched smoothly. The three shimmery colors felt really creamy and had great color payoff, the yellow color is matte and felt dry and looked chalky. Other than that color this was a good quad.
This was a nice face primer. It feels more like a light weight face moisturizer than a normal face primer. Normal face primer to me are the ones with the silicon like the Smashbox ones. The primer is a light pink almost white color but it doesn’t show up on the skin when I put it on. I liked that this was odorless as I’m sensitive to perfumes. My skin has been dry so I was worried about this being oil-free primer. My skin did fine, didn’t notice any peeling, but I do feel that my skin was oilier than it usually is.
This is an okay mascara, nothing special. I like volumizing mascara and this doesn’t volumize.
Lash Card is a card to put on your eyes to protect your eye makeup from stray mascara. One side of the card is for a small arch and the other side is for a large arch. Pretty neat idea and it worked okay but I feel it slows me down when putting on my mascara.
Well, these are all the items that were in my Ipsy bag this month. Can’t wait for next month!
